Word of Knowledge for Head Injury—November 2021
The Lord reminded me (Candy) of a picture of someone with a head injury that I had received in prayer before doing outreach in Monroe, WA. Later, I felt like I was supposed to approach a group of 3 guys and ask if any of them had a head injury at some point or something falling on their head.
At first they seemed to say none of them had, but then one guy said he had fallen and hit his head at one point and had to have staples put in. He then began to share how in the last 6 months he was getting his life back together and making positive choices, because before that he had been struggling.
Anna and I prayed for him and blessed him in his new direction in life. He seemed encouraged and appreciated our compassion for him.
God Sees the Leaf Blower!—November 2021
When we prayed before we went out, I (Candy) saw a picture of going to Al Borlin Park and of someone cleaning leaves on the street outside the park. I wasn’t sure if this was a symbolic picture of someone feeling like they were down in the gutter of the street like a dead leaf. But when we went out on outreach, I was noticing all the leaves along the trail and I was alert for anyone cleaning leaves.
We saw one city worker on a lawnmower blowing the leaves off the road from inside Al Borlin Park, but he didn’t stop so we couldn’t talk to him. We walked all through Al Borlin Park and prayed as we walked and came back through the streets of Monroe. As we came back to where we parked, I noticed two city trucks parked along the street. They pulled up right outside of Al Borlin Park and the playground and started cleaning up the leaves. I walked up and approached the young woman.
I told her this may sound strange, but when I was praying this morning, the Lord showed me that I would meet someone outside the park cleaning up leaves and here you are. Do you mind if we listen to God for anything He wants to say to you. She shared that she was a Christian and felt like the moment was very meaningful since she had been seeking God more in the past year and has been reading the Bible all the way through. Jay had heard earlier in prayer about someone with liver problems, so he asked her if she knew anyone with liver issues and she shared that one of her family member’s did.
We prayed for her family member and gave her a couple prophetic words. And we asked if she had been baptized in the Holy Spirit. She didn’t know what that was, so we asked if we could pray for her to be receive the Holy Spirit and asked the Lord to confirm it for her in the coming days. She was really blessed and expressed how meaningful the encounter was. So cool how God fulfilled the picture!
